Job summary

AlphaStaffHCM client is seeking a Field Property Adjuster Specialist in Las Cruces, NM. You will investigate, evaluate, negotiate, and settle complex property claims using a virtual-first approach with desk adjustments and occasional CAT deployments.

You will inspect losses locally, travel as needed, maintain detailed claim files, and collaborate with vendors and internal teams to ensure compliant settlements.

Qualifications

• Must have 2 years of property claims adjusting for moderate complexity.
• Advanced knowledge of estimating losses with Xactimate.
• Field handling of high-severity losses (fire, water, etc.).
• Residential construction knowledge helps assess damages.
• License within 90 days and ongoing compliance is required.
• Willingness to travel 50–75% and respond to CAT events.

Responsibilities

• Manage a complex claims caseload with coverage and liability considerations.
• Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to resolve claims efficiently.
• Investigate damages using insured, third parties, and external resources.
• Identify coverage issues and determine settlements within authority; escalate beyond authority as needed.
• Maintain thorough documentation throughout the claim lifecycle.
• Utilize estimating and virtual inspection tools for complex property claims.
• Support CAT deployment and on-call duties as required.
