Job summary

AlphaStaffHCM is seeking a Field Property Adjuster Specialist to investigate, evaluate, negotiate, and settle complex property claims. This field-based, hourly role supports a virtual-first approach with on-site inspections in the Brooklyn, NY area.

Travel 50–75% and potential CAT deployments are included. You will analyze coverage, liability, and settlements within state regulations, using Xactimate and related tools to deliver accurate claim outcomes.

Qualifications

• - High School Diploma or GED is required.
• - 2 years of property claims adjusting experience with dwelling/structural damages.
• - Advanced knowledge of estimating losses using Xactimate or similar tools.
• - Field experience handling high-severity/complex claims.
• - Knowledge of residential construction and relevant regulations.

Responsibilities

• Manage assigned complex property claims caseload.
• Coordinate with vendors and internal partners for resolution.
• Investigate damages using multiple sources and identify subrogation potential.
• Assess coverage and liability while ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Negotiate settlements within authority and document thoroughly.
• Perform claims estimation using technology platforms and prepare for potential CAT events.
