Job summary

AlphaStaffHCM client seeks a Senior Personal Property Field Adjuster to manage complex property claims, from investigation to settlement, in the Philadelphia area. You will analyze policy language, negotiate outcomes, and document thoroughly while traveling as needed.

You’ll work both on-site and remotely, handle high-value cases, mentor peers, and participate in catastrophe responses. A valid license within 90 days is expected.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 2+ years of property or claims adjusting experience handling moderately complex claims.
• Working knowledge of residential construction and property damage evaluation.
• Experience using Xactimate or similar estimating platforms.
• Ability to investigate, negotiate, and resolve claims with sound judgment.
• Understanding of property insurance policies, contracts, and applicable regulations.
• Ability to manage multiple claims and systems simultaneously.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% and participate in catastrophe response as needed.
• Ability to obtain and maintain an adjuster license within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of complex property claims from assignment through resolution.
• Investigate losses using multiple sources to form accurate conclusions.
• Analyze policy language and claim history to determine coverage and escalate when needed.
• Negotiate settlements within authority limits and collaborate with leadership on high exposure claims.
• Partner with vendors and regulators to drive claims to resolution.
• Use virtual inspection tools and estimating platforms to assess damages.
• Maintain complete, accurate claim documentation reflecting decisions and outcomes.
• Support catastrophe response efforts including travel and on-call rotations.
• Provide guidance to less experienced adjusters on complex scenarios.
• Handle claims involving legal counsel and jurisdictional considerations.
