Job summary

Starr Insurance in Kentucky seeks a Senior General Adjuster to manage the claims process for Property losses with a focus on policy coverage evaluation and BI coverage. Travel to loss sites and meetings is expected at approximately 10% of the time.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Property policy and Business Interruption coverage.
• Policy interpolation with strong communication and writing skills.
• Minimum of 5 years experience in handling Property claims.

Responsibilities

• Manage all claims administration functions in the claims system.
• Handle files with independent adjusters by providing direction on coverage and measurement of the claim.
• Evaluate policy coverage and communicate with Insureds and other participating insurers.
• Work with Underwriters on policy coverage and assist on policy wordings.
• Travel to loss sites and meetings with Insureds and market members (~10% travel).
