Job summary

Starr Insurance, a global leader in commercial insurance, seeks a Senior General Adjuster in West Virginia. The role requires knowledge of Property and Business Interruption coverage and strong communication and writing skills.

You will manage all claims administration, coordinate with independent adjusters, and assess policy coverage while coordinating with underwriters. Expect travel to loss sites up to 10% as needed.

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience in handling Property claims.

Responsibilities

• Manage all claims administration functions in the claims system.
• Handle files with independent adjusters by providing direction to the adjuster on coverage and measurement of the claim.
• Ability to evaluate policy coverage and communicate with Insureds and work with other insurance companies who participate on the risk.
• Work with Underwriters on policy coverage and assist on policy wordings.
• Travel to loss sites and meetings with Insureds and market members in the adjustment of the claim with approx. 10% travel.
