Job summary

Luster National, Inc. in California seeks a Senior Project Scheduler to lead and verify complex CPM schedules for heavy civil projects, including highways, bridges, transit, and airports. You will review baselines, perform what-if analyses, and defend schedule outcomes for claims and payments.

Ideal candidates bring 10+ years of scheduling on large projects, expertise with Primavera P6/MS Project, and the ability to mentor junior schedulers while enforcing governance and data integrity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
• 10+ years scheduling experience on large heavy-civil projects.
• Experience with CPM baseline schedules, resource/cost loading, progress updating, variance analysis.
• Experience evaluating Time Extension Requests / Time Impact Analyses and documenting entitlements.
• Ability to interpret scope, drawings, constraints and translate to logic-driven schedules.
• Proficiency with Primavera P6, MS Project, Primavera Risk, Acumen Fuse, etc.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain the integrated master schedule across design, procurement, third‑party, and construction contracts.
• Review baselines and monthly updates for logic, durations, calendars, float, and loading; approve or reject against the schedule spec.
• Verify progress against field records and challenge unsupported gains before payments or milestones.
• Run critical path, longest path, and what-if analyses to test sequencing and recovery proposals.
• Evaluate Time Extension Requests and issue determinations on entitlement and float ownership.
• Perform forensic schedule analysis using as-planned vs as-built, windows, and collapsed as-built methods.
