Job summary

Mortenson Construction is seeking a Senior Scheduler I to oversee all planning and scheduling activities on complex projects. The role requires coordinating planning standards, coaching field teams, and ensuring timely, accurate schedules across multiple sites.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in construction scheduling, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work in a dynamic, collaborative environment while traveling as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or equivalent field
• Minimum four years of construction experience or equivalent training/experience
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Active listening and open to diverse input

Responsibilities

• Provide oversight of all planning and scheduling activities
• Plan, coordinate, supervise, and direct planning and scheduling activities
• Ensure corporate planning standards and project-related compliance
• Supervise scheduling team
• Coach and train field personnel and forepersons
• Maintain teamwork environment and ensure resources for crews
• Provide work direction and performance evaluations
• Contribute to hiring decisions as needed
• Foster leadership development through tasks and growth opportunities
• Implement safety program at project site
• Manage site logistics and relations with visitors and subcontractors
• Adapt and improve processes for scheduling and planning
