Job summary

IES Communications seeks a General Superintendent to lead large, complex telecommunications projects, ensuring safety, on-time delivery, and profitability. You will supervise project staff, manage customer relations, and oversee budgeting, documentation, and quality control.

You will guide scheduling, resource planning, and process improvements while maintaining a strong safety culture and compliance with company standards. Travel within the branch and regional territories is expected.

Qualifications

• Five+ years in supervisory or managerial roles preferred.
• Three+ years as Lead Communications Technician or similar.
• Five+ years in telecommunications or related field.
• Proficient with computer and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, MS Project).
• Must meet company driving standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead project personnel and oversee recruitment, training, and development.
• Manage planning, scheduling, staffing, and resource allocation.
• Ensure on-time, on-budget project delivery and customer satisfaction.
• Maintain project profitability and financial controls.
• Serve as senior operations liaison with customers; attend meetings.
• Perform quality inspections and ensure installation quality; troubleshoot issues.
• Drive process improvements in estimating, scheduling, purchasing, and reporting.
• Promote safety as the highest priority.
