Job summary

Michels Corporation seeks a Project Procurement Manager to lead all procurement activities for a major hyperscale data center project. You will develop the procurement strategy, lead a team of buyers and expeditors, manage supplier relationships, and ensure alignment with schedule, budget, and quality standards.

The role requires strong commercial and leadership capabilities, cross-functional collaboration, and hands-on governance across Michels Companies.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive experience in procurement or supply chain management.
• Experience managing procurement for mid- to large-scale construction or data center projects.
• Experience leading procurement teams including buyers and expeditors.
• Ability to travel approx 75% and work onsite.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the project procurement strategy in alignment with the construction schedule, budget, objectives, and customer requirements.
• Lead and coordinate procurement activities across Michels companies supporting the project.
• Manage and develop procurement professionals assigned to the project, including buyers, Procurement Specialists, and expeditors.
• Establish procurement priorities, responsibilities, resource requirements, performance expectations, and reporting standards.
• Identify and mitigate procurement, supply chain, commercial, quality, and schedule risks before they impact project execution.
• Maintain procurement governance and ensure compliance with budgets, delivery requirements, and quality standards.
• Maintain supplier relationships and lead commercial interactions.
• Promote health, safety, environment, and quality in procurement activities.
