Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a Project Planner to own North American turbine supply project planning from activation through completion. You will develop and maintain schedules with Primavera P6, coordinate with PMs, site teams, logistics and vendors, and report progress and risks.

You will analyze scopes across manufacturing, logistics, site construction, commissioning, and project execution, monitor critical paths, and support delay claims and risk assessments. Fluent English essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in project management, engineering, construction management, business or related field; equivalent work experience considered.
• Minimum of 3 years as a Project Planner supporting wind, energy, construction, or infrastructure projects.
• Advanced proficiency with Primavera P6 scheduling software.
• Strong analytical and reporting skills with advanced Excel and Microsoft Office Suite experience.
• Experience developing and maintaining complex project schedules and critical path analyses.
• Knowledge of project execution, logistics planning, construction sequencing, and project controls.
• Understanding of project budgeting, cost tracking, contracts, and delay claim analysis.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities while meeting deadlines.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including presentation development and delivery.
• Demonstrated experience collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.
• Commitment to safety, quality, and environmental standards.
• Fluency in English; French is an asset.
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 20%.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a valid passport.
• Pass pre-employment physical if required.
• Valid driver's license and insurability under company policy.
• Strong understanding of safety protocols and procedures.
• Ability to speak and understand English fluently for safety and job communication.

Responsibilities

• Own and manage project planning activities for North American turbine supply projects from activation through completion.
• Develop, maintain, and optimize project schedules using Primavera P6
• Coordinate planning activities with project managers, site teams, logistics, contractors, customers, and global planning functions
• Monitor project progress, performance, milestones, and critical paths
• Identify schedule risks and develop recovery strategies
• Produce weekly, monthly, and daily project reports, including progress reporting, delay analysis, and schedule updates
• Analyze project scopes covering manufacturing, logistics, site construction, commissioning, and project execution
• Evaluate schedule impacts related to delays, claims, change orders, and extension‑of‑time requests
• Develop short‑term and long‑term planning scenarios
• Track planning buffers and communicate schedule concerns and opportunities
• Identify logistics, material, and supply chain constraints and coordinate resolution
• Support Project Managers and Contract Managers with delay claims, schedule analysis, and risk assessments
• Analyze bottlenecks, construction sequencing, resource utilization, crane movements, weather impacts, and other schedule‑critical factors
• Collaborate across project management, operations, logistics, back‑office, and site execution teams
• Present schedule updates, forecasts, and recommendations to leadership and project stakeholders
