Job summary

GE Vernova Hydro Power in Phoenix, AZ seeks a Lead Project Planner to define the planning approach and schedule strategy for complex, high‑risk projects. You will lead cross‑functional alignment, drive advanced schedule analysis, and facilitate reviews with customers and consortium partners.

You will mentor junior planners and ensure robust progress tracking, mitigating risks and aligning with contractual commitments in cost, schedule, and performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience.
• 10+ years of planning and scheduling in EPC or complex project environments.
• Advanced planning and scheduling methodologies.
• Advanced Primavera P6 proficiency.
• Experience in hydropower, energy, infrastructure or industrial project execution.
• Experience in schedule recovery, change management, and delay analysis.

Responsibilities

• Lead development, integration, optimization, and maintenance of project schedules for complex projects.
• Define planning approach, schedule strategy, and governance aligned with execution strategy.
• Drive baseline development and freeze processes across project functions.
• Perform advanced schedule analysis including critical path, float erosion, and what‑if modelling.
• Lead identification of schedule risks and mitigation with project teams.
• Support development of committed schedules, rebaselines, and schedule strategies for changes or delays.
• Ensure planning deliverables support reviews, decision‑making and customer communication.
• Mentor Planners and promote planning standards and best practices.
