Job summary

GE Vernova Hydro Power is seeking a Lead Project Planner to join the North America division. You will define planning approach, schedule strategy, and governance for complex projects, leading cross-functional alignment and advanced schedule analysis to support cost, schedule, and performance targets.

You will mentor junior planners, drive baselines, manage risk, and coordinate reviews with customers and partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
• 10+ years planning and scheduling in EPC or similar complex projects.
• Expert in planning methodologies and Primavera P6.
• Experience in hydropower, energy, or industrial projects.
• Ability to lead schedule recovery and delay analyses.

Responsibilities

• Lead development, integration, optimization, and maintenance of project schedules and baselines for complex projects.
• Define the project planning approach, schedule strategy, and governance in alignment with execution strategy and contractual requirements.
• Drive baseline development and freeze processes across project functions.
• Perform advanced schedule analysis including critical path, float erosion, impact analysis, interface analysis, and what-if scenario modeling.
• Lead identification of schedule risks and opportunities and drive mitigation, acceleration, and recovery plans with project teams.
• Support or lead development of committed schedules, rebaselines, and schedule strategies related to change or delay situations.
• Ensure planning deliverables support project reviews, management decision-making, and customer communication requirements.
• Lead planning reviews with project leadership, customers, consortium partners, and other key stakeholders when required.
• Challenge execution assumptions and help shape project priorities through schedule insight and structured analysis.
• Oversee schedule quality, planning assumptions, and consistency of planning outputs.
• Mentor Planners and Schedulers and promote planning standards, methods, and best practices.
• Support schedule-related claims analysis, delay assessments, and change impact evaluations where required.
• Contribute to improvement of planning processes, tools, and project execution practices.
