Job summary

K&A Engineering in Connecticut is seeking a Lead Transmission Engineer to lead overall transmission line design for capital projects and provide expert guidance on routing, structure design, and plan profiling. You will work closely with clients, support business development, and mentor junior engineers.

The role requires senior-level expertise in substations and transmission, with EPC/Megaproject experience and a PE license preferred. On-site work in Connecticut is expected.

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
10+ years of electrical engineering experience in substation or transmission.
Ability to perform engineering responsibilities with minimal supervision.
Experience on EPC or Megaprojects preferred.
PE license highly preferred.

Responsibilities

Lead transmission line design for capital projects.
Review/design transmission line plans and profiles with PLS-CAD.
Drive routing and project plan for line design and strateg y.
Decide on rebuilds vs ROW based on congestion and permitting.
Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to ensure design quality.
