Job summary

Stantec seeks a Project Manager for its Energy & Resources line to lead multi‑discipline teams on thermal generation projects across North America. The role covers Owner’s Engineer or Detailed Engineering/Design for simple cycle, combined cycle, and repowering projects.

You will blend client service with business development, manage risk, and guide project objectives. Travel to US/Canada required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 15 years of experience on power generation projects, including Owner’s Engineer or detailed engineering/design.
• 5+ years in business development and/or as a “seller‑doer.”
• Registration as a Professional Engineer is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide project management expertise to the team.
• Manage energy projects/programs.
• Support and contribute to PM best practices and methodology.
• Coordinate with leadership, discipline leads, and clients.
• Align project execution with objectives and promote accountability.
• Coach and mentor staff within the PM community.
• Monitor resources, schedule, budget and quality.
