Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Project Manager for the Energy & Resources line to lead multi‑discipline teams on thermal generation projects. The role covers Owner’s Engineer and detailed design work for simple‑cycle, combined‑cycle, and repowering projects across North America.

You will drive client satisfaction, manage risks, and mentor staff while supporting business development and ensuring alignment with our PM framework and culture of excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering.
• Minimum 15 years of experience on power generation projects (Owner’s Engineer and/or detailed engineering/design).
• Minimum 5 years in business development or as a 'seller‑doer'.
• Professional Engineer license preferred but not required.
• Office-based role with travel to US/Canada offices and client sites.

Responsibilities

• Provide project management expertise to the team.
• Lead Energy projects/programs and align with PM best practices.
• Coordinate with leadership, discipline leads, clients and vendors.
• Support business development and assist in proposals as required.
• Mentor junior staff and ensure project execution within scope, schedule, and budget.
