Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Project Manager for its Energy & Resources line to lead multi-disciplined teams in thermal generation projects across North America. The role involves Owner’s Engineer or Detailed Engineering/Design for simple cycle, combined cycle, and repowering projects.

You will support client service excellence, align project execution with PM frameworks, and contribute to business development while mentoring staff and driving project success.

Qualifications

  • B.S. in Electrical, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering.
  • Minimum 15 years of experience on power generation projects (Owner’s Engineer and/or detailed engineering/design).
  • Minimum 5 years in business development or as a “seller-doer”.
  • Registration as a Professional Engineer is preferred, but not required.
  • Office-based role with travel to US/Canada offices and client sites.

Responsibilities

  • Provide project management expertise for energy projects.
  • Lead multi-discipline project teams and manage resources, schedule, budget, and quality.
  • Support PM best practices and methodologies consistent with our frameworks.
  • Coordinate with leadership, discipline leads, clients, and vendors.
  • Lead or support proposals and mentor junior staff.
  • Achieve utilization targets as agreed.
