Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Project Manager for our Energy & Resources business line to lead multi‑discipline project teams on thermal generation projects in North America. The role includes Owner’s Engineer or Detailed Engineering/Design services for simple cycle, combined cycle, and repowering projects.

You will drive client satisfaction, manage risks, and contribute to business development as a seller‑doer, ensuring delivery within scope, time, and budget.

Qualifications

• Engineeing design and construction experience with power plant projects.

Responsibilities

• Provide project management expertise to our team.
• Manage Energy projects/programs.
• Support and contribute to our Project Management best practices and methodology.
• Coordinate with leadership and cross-disciplinary teams, clients, and vendors.
• Ensure alignment and consistency of project execution.
• Mentor staff and support client relationship management.
• Monitor resources, schedule, budget, and quality; address gaps.
• Capture lessons learned and drive continuous improvement.
• Support leadership in recruitment, succession planning, and PM development.
• Lead or support proposals as required.
• Mentor junior staff and achieve utilization targets.

15+ years power generation experience
