Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Project Manager in the Energy & Resources group to lead multi‑discipline teams on thermal generation projects across North America. You will steer owner’s engineer or detailed design activities for simple/combined cycle and repowering initiatives, balancing scope, schedule and risk while driving client satisfaction.

You will also contribute to business development, mentor junior staff, and ensure adherence to PM frameworks.

Qualifications

• Engineering design and construction experience with power plant projects.
• Expertise in Project management including team leadership, resource management, scheduling, controls, reporting and document controls.
• Strong leader, collaborator and communicator with experience in managing a team.
• Experience leading projects using EPC/DBB/ECI delivery models.
• Knowledge of multi-discipline engineering services related to energy projects.
• Experience in business development, proposals, and budgeting.
• Demonstrated leadership competencies.
• Ability to work across multiple offices and geographies.

Responsibilities

• Provide project management expertise to the team.
• Manage Energy projects/programs.
• Support and contribute to Project Management best practices and methodologies.
• Coordinate with leadership, discipline leads, cross‑functional teams, clients, and vendors.
• Ensure alignment and consistency of project execution.
• Foster client satisfaction and mentor staff within PM community.
