MPI, a highly regarded General Contractor in Ohio, seeks a Senior Project Manager to lead the expanding special projects division and drive high-visibility initiatives. You will champion safety on site, manage bid packages, and oversee subcontractor meetings to meet project objectives.

The ideal candidate has GC project management experience, strong construction knowledge, and excellent communication with internal and external partners.

Qualifications

• Background in Construction Project Management, Assistant Project Management, or Project Engineering.
• Strong understanding of construction methods, technologies, and project details.
• Prior experience managing projects for a general contractor.
• Ability to thoroughly review and interpret construction documents, including drawings and specifications.
• Clear and effective communication with teams, partners, and stakeholders.
• Familiarity with key skilled trades such as carpentry, masonry, concrete, site work, plumbing, fire protection, HVAC and electrical.

Responsibilities

• Provide project oversight with a proactive safety culture on site.
• Oversee creation and evaluation of bid packages to secure subcontractor proposals.
• Facilitate regular subcontractor meetings on the job site.
• Review monthly billing and manage approvals for timely funding.
• Lead cost-tracking including contracts, Purchase Orders, and scope changes.
• Monitor financial performance and forecast accuracy.
• Represent the company during subcontractor negotiations.

Job Description

The Senior Project Manager Will Be Required To:

• Provide project oversight while promoting and maintaining a strong, proactive safety culture on site.
• Oversee the creation and evaluation of bid packages to secure competitive subcontractor proposals.
• Facilitate regular subcontractor meetings on the job site to help ensure project objectives are achieved.
• Review monthly billing and manage the documentation and approvals required to maintain timely project funding.
• Lead cost‑tracking efforts, including contracts, purchase orders, and scope adjustments, to support overall project goals.
• Monitor the financial performance of the project and maintain accurate forecasting.
• Act as the company's representative during subcontractor negotiations.
