Job summary

Wabtec Corporation is seeking an experienced Project Manager to drive the performance of contracts, ensuring timely delivery, budget control, and strict adherence to contractual requirements. The role emphasizes maintaining sound customer relationships and providing regular project reports, KPI dashboards, and risk registers to management.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in engineering, at least 10 years in project/program management, and 5 years in manufacturing or rail

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent experience.
• A minimum of 10 years of experience in project or program management.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in the manufacturing industry or rail transit.
• Excellent knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite and contract administration.

Responsibilities

• Develops the project documentation, including master schedules and project plan.
• Develops the project specific schedules to reflect milestones and critical paths.
• Builds and maintains relationships with customers and stakeholders.
• Ensures projects follow standard processes and on-time delivery with required quality.
• Manages customer communications through regular reporting and meetings.
• Clarifies scope with internal teams and handles scope changes with the customer.
• Addresses customer concerns and finds compliant solutions within scope, budget, and schedule.
• Develops an effective project communication plan for all stakeholders.
• Identifies and quantifies project risks and mitigations with teams.
• Leads project reporting meetings with management on progress and risks.
• Manages and respects budget items across projects.
• Identifies variances, develops action plans, and implements permanent solutions.
