Job summary

Wabtec is seeking a seasoned Project Manager within the Bus Solutions division to lead complex, multi-year new product development and large customized design projects from cradle to grave.

You will oversee cross-functional teams spanning engineering, manufacturing, sales, quality and finance, ensuring on-time delivery, budget adherence, and high quality. Collaboration with internal/external partners and stakeholders is key.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or PMP are a plus.
• 8+ years of experience in project management, engineering, and manufacturing.
• Proven track record delivering projects on time and budget.
• Strong use of PM tools: Scopes, WBS, Timelines, Budgets, Risk Matrices, RACI, Presentations.
• Excellent planning, tracking, problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Effective leadership to coordinate cross-functional groups.
• Ability to present to customers and all levels of the organization.
• Proficient in Microsoft Project or Smartsheet, Excel, and PowerPoint; knowledge of NPD Stage Gate.

• Lead delivery of complex, multi-year new product development projects.
• Oversee cross-functional teams to meet schedule, budget and quality targets.
• Develop and maintain detailed project plans, timelines, resources, and risks.
• Facilitate status meetings and communicate updates to stakeholders.
• Build strong relationships with internal and external partners.
• Develop and manage project budgets to stay on target.
• Identify and address risks and roadblocks; implement solutions.
• Maintain change-management for scope changes and new requirements.
• Support APQP and R&D/NPD processes.
