Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Senior Project Manager / Civil Engineer to provide technical leadership for Power sector projects within the Environmental Services team. The role covers Virginia and adjacent Mid-Atlantic projects, with potential involvement in North Carolina and other sites. A BS in Civil Engineering and 10+ years' experience are required; a P.E.

license is desirable. Responsibilities include managing deliverables, budgets, and client relations while ensuring regulatory compliance and HSSE

Qualifications

• Strong oral and written communication skills; customer focused.
• Effective resource planning; stay current with relevant technology.
• Knowledge of federal and state regulations and permitting requirements.
• Proven ability to maintain effective working relationships.
• Experience leading multi-discipline teams on power sector projects.
• Bachelor of Science in Civil, Water Resources, Biological Systems, Environmental Engineering, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Lead as Sr. Project Manager or Technical Lead for Power Sector projects; sealability where required.
• Plan, organize, and manage deliverables to ensure on-time, within-budget results.
• Provide technical leadership for projects in Virginia and the Mid-Atlantic region.
• Mentor junior engineers; perform hydrologic/hydraulic analyses and design calculations.
• Coordinate with disciplines; develop regulatory and HSSE strategies.
• Prepare permit applications; coordinate with agencies and respondents.
• Manage project budgets, schedules, and teams.
• Build positive client relationships and seek new business opportunities.
