Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Senior Project Manager / Civil Engineer to provide technical leadership on Power sector projects within our Environmental Services team. You will guide scope, schedules and budgets for utility clients in the Mid-Atlantic, coordinating multi-discipline efforts to deliver compliant designs.

The role requires a BS in Civil/Environmental Engineering, 10+ years of experience, and PE licensure in the region desirable.

Qualifications

• Must have strong oral and written communication skills; customer focused to respond to client needs.
• Must demonstrate effective resource planning and results delivery.
• Strong understanding of federal and state regulations and permitting requirements.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Sr. Project Manager or Project Technical Lead for Power Sector engineering projects.
• Plan, organize, and manage production of deliverables within budget and schedule.
• Provide technical leadership for projects in Virginia and occasionally other Mid-Atlantic locations.
• Mentor junior engineers and perform hydrologic/hydraulic analyses and design calculations.
• Manage project budgets, schedules, and teams; coordinate with multiple disciplines.
• Oversee environmental permitting strategy and permit applications with agencies.
• Develop client relationships and seek opportunities for new business.
