Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Sr. Project Manager / Project Technical Lead for Power Sector engineering projects in Virginia. You will plan, supervise deliverables, and ensure technical quality within budget while coordinating multi-discipline teams.

Responsibilities include hydrologic analyses, reporting, regulatory permitting strategies, and client stewardship. This role requires leadership, mentoring, and strong communication with clients and internal teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science (minimum) in Civil, Water Resources, Biological Systems, Environmental Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum of 10 years prior experience in a similar role.
• Professional Licensure (P.E.) in VA/NC/SC/WV/MD desirable.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Sr. Project Manager or Project Technical Lead for Power Sector engineering projects with responsibility for reviewing and sealing of projects.
• Plan, organize, and manage the production of project deliverables to ensure on time delivery, technical quality and within budget.
• Provide technical leadership for projects in Virginia and occasionally for projects in other parts of the Mid-Atlantic US.
• Work with junior engineers to perform hydrologic and hydraulic analyses, design calculations, write reports, and select design criteria.
• Manage project budgets, schedules, and teams.
• Execute environmental permitting strategy and direct field surveys and construction compliance.
• Complete permit application preparation and coordinate comment responses with agencies.
• Develop and maintain positive client relationships and seek new business opportunities.
