Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Senior Project Manager / Civil Engineer to provide technical leadership for Power sector projects within our Environmental Services team. The role covers design, permitting, and client stewardship across the Mid-Atlantic region, with responsibilities in Virginia and occasionally other states.

You will mentor junior engineers, coordinate multi-discipline teams, manage budgets and schedules, and ensure HSSE compliance throughout project lifecycles.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil, Water Resources, Environmental Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in a similar senior role.
• Professional Licensure (P.E.) in NC, SC, VA, WV, or MD desirable.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Sr. Project Manager or Project Technical Lead for Power Sector engineering projects with responsibility for reviewing and sealing of projects.
• Plan, organize, and manage the production of project deliverables to ensure on time delivery, technical quality and within budget.
• Provide technical leadership for projects in Virginia and occasionally for projects in other parts of the Mid-Atlantic US.
• Work with junior engineers on hydrologic/hydraulic analyses, design calculations, reports, and criteria.
• Project management including coordinating work efforts and deliverables reports and client stewardship.
• Execute environmental permitting strategy and oversee field surveys and construction compliance.
