Job summary

TP Mechanical Contractors is seeking a seasoned Project Manager in Kentucky to oversee large commercial plumbing/HVAC projects and drive profitability. You will ensure on-time delivery, manage change orders, and coordinate with site teams, estimators, and office staff to keep projects on budget and schedule.

The role requires deep field experience, blueprint reading, strong math and accounting basics, and excellent communication.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years commercial plumbing/HVAC experience.
• 5 years of prior project management experience.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Knowledge of general plumbing and piping installation.
• Strong math and basic computer skills; detail oriented.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee overall project profitability, ensure timelines and requirements are met, and manage billing, change orders, and collections.
• Review job cost, status, manpower and change orders; conduct monthly profitability analyses.
• Communicate with project superintendents, managers, and other departments via meetings and emails.
• Coordinate manpower and equipment for each job.
• Oversee buyout, job closeouts, and change orders.
• Attend weekly job-site visits and project meetings.
• Ensure proper job setup, contract review, estimated costs and schedule of values.
• Generate PM reports and participate in PM meetings as needed.
• Track submittals, generate purchase orders and negotiate subcontracts/purchases.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
