Job summary

CyberCoders is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead complex MEP construction projects in commercial, healthcare, and mission-critical facilities from pre-construction through closeout.

You will oversee budgets, schedules, procurement, safety and regulatory compliance while mentoring teams and maintaining strong client relationships. Healthcare commissioning experience and PMP/CCM/NICET are a plus; MS Project, Procore, Primavera skills are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years of progressive MEP construction experience with at least 5 years in project management on commercial and healthcare projects.
• Hands-on knowledge of HVAC, piping, plumbing, and medical gas systems; healthcare codes.
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, estimating, and job costing; strong financial controls.
• Proficiency with MS Project, Procore, Primavera, or equivalent project management software.
• Safety-focused with OSHA knowledge; able to lead safe job sites.
• PM certifications such as PMP, CCM, or NICET (medical gas) are a plus.

Responsibilities

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead complex MEP construction projects primarily commercial, healthcare, and mission-critical facilities. The ideal candidate will manage projects from pre-construction through closeout, ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery while maintaining safety, quality, and regulatory compliance. This role requires deep technical knowledge of mechanical systems (HVAC, piping, plumbing), medical gas installation, strong financial oversight including budgeting, forecasting and job costing, and excellent leadership and client-facing skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead full project lifecycle for MEP construction projects, from pre-construction planning and estimating through execution, commissioning, and closeout.
• Develop, manage and maintain project budgets, forecasts and cash flow; perform regular job costing analyses and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Create and manage project schedules, coordinate trades, monitor progress, and drive timely completion of milestones.
• Oversee procurement activities including issuing purchase orders, tracking material deliveries, and managing vendor/subcontractor performance.
• Prepare and review RFIs, submittals, change orders and contract documentation; ensure timely responses and resolution.
• Ensure compliance with codes, standards and client specifications including medical gas, healthcare facility requirements, and mission-critical protocols.
• Implement and enforce site safety plans and quality control processes; lead safety meetings and ensure subcontractor adherence to company safety standards.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to project teams, subcontractors and field staff; conduct performance reviews and manage resource allocation.
• Maintain clear communication with owners, architects, engineers, general contractors and internal stakeholders; manage client relationships and expectations.
• Support estimating and business development efforts by providing constructability input, scope reviews and high-level cost estimates.
• Coordinate commissioning, testing, start-up and turnover activities for mechanical, plumbing and medical gas systems.
• Manage claims, dispute resolution and closeout documentation to ensure final acceptance and release of retainage.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 8+ years of progressive MEP construction experience with at least 5 years in project management on commercial and healthcare projects.
• Demonstrated expertise in mechanical systems: HVAC, piping and plumbing, including hands-on knowledge of medical gas systems and applicable healthcare codes.
• Proven experience with budgeting, forecasting, estimating, job costing and financial controls on mid- to large-scale projects.
• Strong experience with mission-critical projects and understanding of reliability and redundancy requirements.
• Proficient with project management and construction software (MS Project, Procore, Primavera or equivalent) and Microsoft Office.
• Solid knowledge of procurement processes, purchase orders, subcontractor management, RFIs and submittal workflows.
• Committed to safety with familiarity with OSHA regulations and proven track record of maintaining safe job sites.
• Excellent leadership, communication and client-management skills; able to lead multidisciplinary teams and build strong stakeholder relationships.
• Professional certifications such as PMP, CCM, or NICET (medical gas) are a plus, as is prior experience in hospital construction and healthcare commissioning.
