Job summary

CyberCoders is seeking an experienced MEP Construction Leader to drive on-site operations across commercial, healthcare, hotel and high-rise projects. You will coordinate mechanical, HVAC, piping and plumbing works, enforce safety and quality, manage budgets and contracts, and serve as the main contact for clients and subs.

Travel to project sites is expected as projects demand. The ideal candidate has aBachelor's in Mechanical Engineering or Construction Management, 8+ years in MEP construction

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Construction Management; advanced degree preferred.
• 8+ years in MEP construction with 4+ years in leadership/operations.
• Experience delivering hospitals/healthcare, commercial, hotels and high-rise projects.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, piping and plumbing systems; QA/QC and HSE experience.
• Project management, scheduling, cost control, billing, and financial reporting.
• Experience with change orders, claims, certificates and bonds; PMP/CEng desirable.

Position Overview

Lead and manage MEP construction operations across commercial, healthcare, hotel, and high-rise projects. Drive on-time, on-budget delivery by coordinating mechanical, HVAC, piping, and plumbing works; enforce safety and quality standards; manage financials, billing and contract changes; and serve as the primary point of contact for clients, consultants and subcontractors. Focus on risk management, claims resolution and successful commissioning and handover of complex projects including hospitals and other critical facilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide operational leadership for MEP construction activities across multiple projects, ensuring alignment with program schedules and budget targets.
• Manage project managers, site teams and subcontractors to deliver mechanical, HVAC, piping and plumbing scope with high quality and safety standards.
• Oversee project planning, resource allocation, procurement, and logistics to optimize cost and schedule performance.
• Drive financial performance: manage budgets, forecasting, billing, cash flow, cost controls, and commercial reporting.
• Administer contracts and commercial processes including change orders, back charges, claims, certificates, and bonds; lead negotiations and dispute resolution.
• Implement and maintain QA/QC systems, quality assurance plans, commissioning procedures and site inspection regimes to meet client and regulatory requirements.
• Establish and enforce HSE policies, conduct risk assessments, and ensure compliance with local codes, standards and hospital-specific requirements.
• Coordinate technical reviews, design clarifications and value engineering with consultants and design teams to resolve site issues and reduce rework.
• Lead commissioning, testing and handover activities for MEP systems, ensuring performance verification and completion documentation.
• Manage claims, vendor performance, submittals and shop drawing approvals to minimize project risk and delays.
• Prepare and present regular project performance reports to senior management and clients, highlighting progress, risks and mitigation plans.
• Coach and develop project teams, promote best practices, and maintain strong client relationships to secure repeat business and successful project outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management or related field; advanced degree preferred.
• 8+ years of progressive experience in MEP construction with at least 4 years in a leadership or operations management role.
• Proven experience delivering projects in hospitals/healthcare, commercial buildings, hotels and high-rise developments.
• Strong technical knowledge of mechanical systems including HVAC, piping and plumbing design, installation and commissioning.
• Demonstrated expertise in project management, scheduling, cost control, billing practices and financial reporting.
• Experience managing change orders, back charges, claims, and contract administration; familiarity with certificates and bonds.
• Track record of implementing QA/QC and HSE systems; certifications such as NEBOSH or OSHA are a plus.
• Excellent negotiation, stakeholder management and communication skills; ability to interact with clients, consultants and authorities.
• Familiarity with project management software (MS Project, Primavera), BIM coordination and standard office tools (MS Office).
• Professional certifications such as PMP, CEng or equivalent are desirable.
• Ability to travel to project sites, valid drivers license, and readiness to work in fast-paced, high-stakes construction environments.
