Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead large-scale mechanical construction projects across healthcare, industrial, and mission-critical data center sectors. This role is responsible for overseeing all aspects of project delivery — from preconstruction through closeout — ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in mechanical systems (HVAC, piping, plumbing, process systems), strong commercial acumen, and experience working with complex, highly regulated or mission-critical environments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead multiple large-scale mechanical projects ($10M–$100M+) from preconstruction through final completion.
  • Develop and manage project execution plans, schedules, manpower projections, and procurement strategies.
  • Oversee mechanical scopes including HVAC systems, chilled water, steam, medical gas, hydronics, plumbing, and process piping.
  • Coordinate closely with general contractors, owners, engineers, and design teams.
  • Drive schedule performance using CPM scheduling tools and look-ahead planning.
  • Own full P&L responsibility for assigned projects.
  • Prepare and manage budgets, forecasts, cost reports, and cash flow projections.
  • Identify and mitigate cost risks; manage change orders and claims effectively.
  • Ensure timely billing, collections, and subcontractor/vendor payments.
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare codes, infection control protocols, and medical gas standards.
  • Manage mission-critical mechanical infrastructure including redundant cooling systems, chilled water plants, and backup systems for data centers.
  • Oversee complex industrial/process piping installations.
  • Understand regulatory requirements including OSHA, ASHRAE, NFPA, and local building codes.
Team & Stakeholder Management
  • Lead and mentor Project Managers, Assistant PMs, Project Engineers, and field leadership.
  • Support workforce planning in coordination with field superintendents.
  • Conduct project meetings with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships to support repeat business.
Risk & Quality Management
  • Proactively manage project risk, including contract review and compliance.
  • Implement quality control procedures and commissioning coordination.
  • Lead safety culture initiatives in partnership with field leadership.
  • Manage dispute resolution and contractual negotiations.
