Job summary

Southland Industries in Texas is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead a project team on large, complex MEP projects, coach staff, and serve as the primary client contact. You will develop client relationships, manage budgets and schedules, review change orders, and align project strategy with leadership.

Requirements include a four-year engineering degree and at least 10 years of relevant experience, with strong communication, public speaking, and presentation skills.

Qualifications

• Four-year degree in Engineering or applicable experience.
• 10+ years of experience in project management or engineering.
• Expert knowledge of systems design (HVAC, plumbing) and design engineering basics.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with clients and contractors.
• Proven ability to manage multiple large, complex projects.
• Strong public speaking and proposal presentation skills.
• Proficient in CADD, ERP and Microsoft Office (Excel).

Responsibilities

• Lead a project team for a large or multiple smaller projects with coaching.
• Develop client relationships and provide status updates to clients and leadership.
• Manage budgets, cost/revenue projections, and change orders.
• Attend project meetings to discuss schedule and issues.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to keep project on schedule and scope.
• Mentor team members and provide performance feedback.
