Job summary

Layton Construction is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead large, complex projects and mentor project teams. You will be responsible for cost control, scheduling, and ensuring adherence to contract documents while exceeding owner expectations.

You will supervise project teams, negotiate prime contracts, coordinate subcontracts, and oversee procurement and change orders to deliver projects on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, construction management or related field, or the equivalent education and experience.
• Minimum of 8+ years project management experience.
• Minimum of 3+ years project management experience in Healthcare (HCAI/OSHPD) Construction.
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects.
• Effective team member with ability to delegate.

Responsibilities

• Lead project teams and ensure predictable outcomes for internal and external stakeholders.
• Oversee project budgets, costs, and profitability per project.
• Prepare PMP and participate in project estimates and value engineering.
• Negotiate prime contracts and manage change orders.
• Coordinate procurement of materials and equipment within budget and schedule.
• Monitor safety, quality, schedule, and costs on site with the Superintendent and PM.
• Close out projects with as-built drawings, warranties, and final billing.
• Maintain owner relations and perform post-completion reviews.
