Job summary

Layton Construction is seeking a Project Manager responsible for planning, managing, procuring, scheduling, and executing construction projects. The role focuses on delivering predictable outcomes, maintaining safety and quality, and maximizing profitability while aligning with Layton’s objectives.

The PM will collaborate with the Superintendent to ensure successful delivery, manage budgets, procurements, and submissions for permits, and lead pre-award and pre-construction activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education/experience required.
• Preferably 3–5 years of healthcare construction industry experience.
• Strong understanding of estimating concepts, bids, change orders, and construction laws/practices.
• Knowledge of building codes, plans, blueprints, and specifications.
• Proven ability to present and communicate effectively with internal/external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Deliver predictable outcomes for internal and external teams and customers.
• Work with safety, quality, and timely delivery to meet owner expectations.
• Assist in estimating, budgeting, and developing PMP and pre-construction plans.
• Negotiate changes, manage subcontractor relationships, and control costs and profits.
• Develop project schedules, milestones, and ensure alignment with the project delivery plan.
