Ajax Building Company in Gainesville, FL seeks a Senior Project Manager to lead planning and execution of complex construction projects from preconstruction through closeout. You will coordinate with field leadership, subcontractors, and owners to deliver high-quality projects safely, on schedule, and within budget.

The role reports to the Project Executive and requires strong leadership, communication, and cost-control skills to drive successful outcomes across the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of construction project management experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or related field.
• General Contractor License preferred.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Hire, lead, develop, and manage project personnel.
• Lead overall project execution with field teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders.
• Establish and implement project operating procedures for consistency and efficiency.
• Oversee development and management of budgets and schedules; manage risk.
• Review project performance reports and keep leadership informed of status and risks.
• Manage procurement and approve material purchases and equipment rentals.
• Serve as primary company representative in communications with owners, architects and engineers.
• Oversee contract administration and approval of agreements and costs.
• Audit project activities from contract execution through closeout and warranty.
• Build relationships with project teams, clients, subcontractors, and partners.
• Promote safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
