Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Senior Project Manager in California to lead large, multidisciplinary engineering and design projects from concept through handover, ensuring on-time delivery, financial performance, and client satisfaction.

The ideal candidate will manage budgets, coordinate multidisciplinary teams (process, civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, environmental), mentor project managers, and drive risk mitigation and continuous improvement while building strong client relationships.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.
• PE license or Registered professional.
• 15–25 years of progressive engineering and design PM experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, execution, and delivery of large-scale engineering and design projects.
• Define and manage scope, objectives, deliverables, schedules, and budgets.
• Oversee multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Ensure alignment with standards, client expectations, and contracts.
• Identify and manage project risks, safety, and compliance.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field

Professional Engineer (PE) license

Master’s degree preferred
