Job summary

SSOE Group is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our Industrial Facilities Design team in Columbus. You will lead planning, execution, and delivery of large-scale industrial and advanced manufacturing facilities for global industry leaders, directing multidisciplinary teams from concept through startup.

Focus on balancing scope, schedule, budget, quality, risk, and client expectations while driving innovation and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in the design industry preferred, with 5+ years as a Project Manager in engineering or construction.
• Experience managing the design of major capital industrial projects within an engineering or architecture consulting firm is required.
• Experience in automotive plants projects is highly desired.
• Strong experience in industrial/manufacturing plants projects.
• Advanced working knowledge of contract management, pre-design, pre-construction, renovations, demolition, new construction, building systems/components, technology, and construction administration.

Responsibilities

• Provide executive leadership for multidisciplinary project teams from planning through completion.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to clients and strategic stakeholders.
• Develop project execution plans, resource strategies, and delivery approaches.
• Align scope, budget, schedule, quality, and risk management objectives.
• Facilitate change management and commercial negotiations.
• Monitor financial performance, invoicing, forecasting, and cash flow.
• Manage contracts for consultants and external service providers.
• Drive communication, accountability, and collaboration among stakeholders.
• Mentor project managers and support project delivery excellence.
• Support business development, pursuits, presentations, qualifications, and fee proposals.
• Travel as necessary for client and project engagement.
