Job summary

Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories (SEL) is seeking a Project Manager III to coordinate cross-divisional initiatives and drive consensus among stakeholders. You will establish plans, manage complex projects, and monitor budgets, schedules, and quality objectives.

Strong MS Project skills and leadership experience are essential. The role emphasizes process improvement, risk management, and clear communication with executive teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Around 8 years of direct experience coordinating projects.
• Exemplary coordination, organization, and prioritization skills.
• Leadership within a cross-functional team.
• Expert knowledge of project management skills, techniques, and terminology.
• Moderate business acumen related to budgets, expense planning, and forecasting.
• Ability to manage project problems requiring creativity and ingenuity.
• Ability to exercise latitude in work assignments.
• Strong knowledge and use of Microsoft Project or other PM tracking software.
• Excellent writing, documentation, and speaking skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate activities of multiple divisions/departments to meet objectives.
• Lead consensus decisions among stakeholders and team members.
• Establish plans and coordinate complex, cross-functional projects.
• Ensure teams follow applicable processes.
• Maintain and analyze metrics, project files, and tracking records.
• Identify and mitigate project risks.
• Present status to executive management and teams.
• Identify process improvements and drive implementation.
• Mentor others and may supervise team members.
