Job summary

Granite Construction is seeking a seasoned project professional to lead construction projects up to $15 million in size. The role emphasizes directing project direction, safety, budgeting, and ensuring profitability.

Ideal candidates have a BS in a relevant field and 3–5 years of heavy civil project experience, with at least 5 years in paving, dirt, and grading. Strong leadership and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years progressive project experience in heavy civil environments.
• Minimum of 5 years experience in paving, dirt, and grading in private or public environments.
• Knowledge of paving, underground, concrete and grading practices.
• Knowledge of union agreements and prevailing wage issues.

Responsibilities

• Forecast project revenue and costs to meet profitability goals.
• Coordinate with estimators and controls to establish budget.
• Lead estimating efforts for bid-to-build processes on vertically integrated projects.
• Manage resources with project team to meet schedule and cost targets.
• Participate in bid reviews and bid closings with estimating team.
