Job summary

Big-D Construction is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead a commercial ground-up project in Des Moines, IA. You will direct project teams, trade partners, and stakeholders while maintaining a strong focus on safety, quality, budget, and client satisfaction.

The role requires travel with per-diem, and will command responsibility for contract interpretation, schedule management, and risk mitigation across multiple delivery methods.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management or similar required.
• 7+ years of related experience on large ground-up commercial projects.
• Open to a traveling role and site-based responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead project teams and coordinate with trade partners and stakeholders.
• Review prime contracts and provide redline changes and clear interpretations.
• Oversee design development, safety, schedule, and quality to meet budget and client expectations.
• Develop contingency plans and risk mitigation with proactive problem solving.
• Manage subcontractor qualifications, bid reviews, and contract modifications.
