Job summary

Big-D Construction is seeking a dynamic Project Manager for a ground-up building project in Idaho Falls, ID. You will lead project teams, coordinate with owners and subcontractors, and ensure schedule, budget, and quality targets are met.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management or similar.

Responsibilities

• Leads project teams to maximize contributions of each team member.
• Strong commitment to customer service for internal and external clients.
• Reviews prime contract with Project Director and provides red line changes.
• Provide detailed contractual interpretations to team regarding prime contracts and subcontract agreements.
• Experience managing projects in Design Build, CM/GC, and hard bid formats.
• Understanding of design process and quality control reviews of plans/specifications.
• Develops solutions to prevent issues from becoming problems.
• Builds strong relationships with other Big-D departments.
• Oversees risk management and develops contingency plans for projects.
• Coordinates timely resource allocation to support projects.
• Supervises project team’s administration and technical direction across projects.
• Monitors CPM schedule progress and project safety.
• Ensures accountability of team members.
• Directs design team; documents changes and deviations.
• Technical writing for proposals.
• Assist in prequalified subcontractor bid lists and awards.
• Coordinates with owners, agencies, facility ops, tenants and utilities to meet schedule, budget and quality.
• Negotiate subcontract modifications to manage risk.
• Ensure prime and subcontractor requirements are met.
• Provide technical and procedural direction to internal and external stakeholders.

Education
