Job summary

Big-D Construction is seeking a Project Engineer to help coordinate daily project activities, maintain quality standards, and support construction administration for a Des Moines project. The role may require travel and per-diem arrangements.

The candidate will assist with submittals, RFIs, change orders, meeting documentation, and coordination with subcontractors while ensuring schedule alignment and safety compliance on site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, or related field.
• 2+ years of experience on commercial construction projects.
• Drive to build great projects.
• No visa sponsorship available for this position.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily project activities and maintain quality standards.
• Assist with change orders development and pricing, and prepare meeting agendas/minutes.
• Review submittals, RFIs, and coordinate with subcontractors; maintain project drawings and records.
• Support project manager and superintendent with schedule and procurement tracking.
• Ensure safety compliance and document project progress with photos and written records.
