Job summary

O’Brien Construction Company, Inc. seeks a seasoned Project Manager to lead upcoming ground-up work in Bettendorf, IA, with additional projects across Iowa.

You will drive project teams from estimating through close-out, ensure budgets, schedules, and quality, and serve as the primary company representative for owners and clients. Responsibilities include maintaining project plans, coordinating with architects and engineers, and enforcing safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school required; Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Engineering or related field preferred.
• Minimum five (5) years of construction experience including scheduling, budgeting, and cost control.
• Creative, results-oriented with urgency and self-motivation.
• Excellent problem-solving and adaptability working with diverse teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead project teams from Estimating through close-out, ensuring safety, quality, and schedule adherence.
• Manage project budgets, costs, and form strong client and owner relations.
• Review subcontractor proposals and award work based on quality and cost.
• Maintain knowledge of project plans, contracts, and specifications.
• Communicate progress through weekly Look Ahead and reports to stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with Federal and State safety rules on-site.
