Job summary

American Electric Power Co. (AEP) is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead intermediate and complex projects, including EPC and CCCT initiatives, in a matrix environment.

You will provide leadership, training, and effective communication with internal and external stakeholders, manage schedules and budgets, and ensure safety and customer satisfaction while aligning with AEP standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a related field with 7+ years of qualified experience (or equivalent).
• PMP certification preferred/required depending on grade.
• Experience in project management, major construction, cost estimating, project controls, and contracting.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, direct, coordinate and supervise project/outage work activities.
• Use Waterfall and Agile methodologies for project management.
• Develop project plans, schedules, budgets, and staff allocations.
• Communicate project status and stakeholder updates; prepare detailed reports.
