Job summary

American Electric Power (AEP) is seeking a seasoned Project Manager to lead EPC and CCGT projects across Ohio and other service areas. You will direct complex project teams, manage scope, cost and schedule, and ensure safety and stakeholder alignment throughout the project lifecycle.

The role emphasizes leadership, governance adherence, and close collaboration with internal/external customers, vendors and regulators to deliver on program goals and benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, Project Management, Computer Science, or related field.
• Seven (7) years qualified experience or equivalent.
• PMP certification preferred or approved waiver.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, direct, coordinate and supervise project and outage work activities.
• Use Waterfall and Agile project management techniques.
• Ensure safety policies and Zero Harm culture are followed.
• Develop schedules, budgets and staff plans for projects/outages.
• Communicate status to stakeholders and executives; prepare written reports.
• Build and maintain relationships with customers, vendors and partners.
