Job summary

American Electric Power (AEP) is seeking a seasoned project manager to oversee EPC and CCGT projects across multiple locations in Ohio and Oklahoma. You will lead planning, execution, monitoring, and closeout, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to balance safety, cost, and schedule.

The role requires strong leadership, program management experience, and the ability to manage complex projects in a matrix environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent with seven years experience in project management or related fields.
• PMP certification is preferred but not required.
• Valid state driver's license.
• Experience with utilities, nuclear power, or IT systems is favorable.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, direct, coordinate, and supervise project and outage activities.
• Apply Waterfall or Agile methodologies for project management.
• Ensure safety policies and Zero Harm commitments.
• Develop project plans, schedules, budgets, and staffing.
• Communicate project details and status updates to stakeholders.
