Job summary

Southwestern Electric Power Company (SWEPCO) in East Texas is seeking experienced Project Managers to lead complex programs within a matrix organization. You will guide projects from initiation through closure, ensuring safety, cost control, and stakeholder alignment.

Ideal candidates bring PMP-level expertise, extensive experience in utilities or IT systems, and a track record of delivering high-value projects on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 10 years qualified experience OR
• Associate's degree with 12 years experience OR
• High School Diploma/GED with 14 years experience

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, direct, coordinate and manage assigned project activities using PM principles.
• Ensure safety through AEP System Safety Process and Zero Harm focus.
• Manage project plan, schedule, budget, tools and staff; control costs and reallocate funding as needed.
• Communicate project details and status; lead planning meetings and stakeholder presentations.
• Develop working relationships with internal/external customers, contractors, vendors and suppliers.
• Provide guidance and training to improve design, systems, processes, schedules and costs.
• Represent AEP with industrial customers, vendors and regulators as needed.
• Align projects with AEP PMO standards and facilitate organizational adherence.
