Job summary

Henderson Engineers in Los Angeles seeks a senior project manager to lead multi-market sector initiatives, delivering client-focused engineering solutions across our Business, Community, Grocery & Distribution, Health, Retail and Venue sectors. You will collaborate with our sister company Henderson Building Solutions to ensure a seamless client experience.

You will supervise project planning, proposals, contracts, budgets, and schedules, mentor junior managers, and drive quality and risk

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, science, technology, or business preferred.
• 14 years of relevant experience required, including at least 10 years cumulative of project management experience.
• Advanced proficiency in project management standards and execution required.
• Advanced knowledge and application of building design and construction principles required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate all aspects of project planning, execution, and client experience.
• Manage the development of project proposals, contracts, and project budgets.
• Plan and coordinate project deliverables, delegating as needed.
• Manage client service and project communication, maintaining proactive communication throughout the project life cycle.
• Monitor and ensure adherence to budgets and financial expectations.
• Responsible for overall project performance.
• Manage and develop program contracts and project fee matrices.
• Define and manage project quality expectations.
• Ensure deliverables meet project objectives and quality expectations.
• Develop the scope of work and fees for complex projects to mitigate risk throughout the project life cycle.
• Serve as the primary project/program contact and brand ambassador.
• Maintain regular communication with clients and sub-consultants to ensure satisfaction with the project process and engineering work product, and that client views are managed toward the best solution.
• Anticipate and proactively resolves project-related conflict, balancing the interests of internal and external stakeholders and sharing lessons learned to improve overall client experience.
• Partner with sector and practice leadership to create and support business development strategies within their sector or practice.
• Direct the activities of project/program team members and oversee less experienced Project Managers as needed.
