Job summary

RECON is seeking a Project Manager to oversee earthwork, cap closure, and environmental remediation projects across the Western region. You will lead field crews, enforce safety, and ensure projects are completed on schedule and within budget.

Responsibilities include coordinating with safety, project controls, and clients, tracking progress with KPIs, and driving cost control and cash flow management while maintaining high safety standards.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive experience managing earthwork/construction projects, mine reclamation or environmental remediation.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field or equivalent experience.
• Proven track record of meeting or exceeding project goals and budgets.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Project, Outlook and Teams.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all phases of project execution from planning through closeout.
• Lead field crews and supervise heavy equipment operations; enforce safety protocols.
• Coordinate with Safety team to sustain behavioral health and safety programs.
• Manage contract administration, cost control, procurement, and change orders.
• Develop and maintain project controls, progress reporting, and KPI dashboards.
• Forecast project performance, including schedule, cost, and cash flow; report status to stakeholders.
• Foster client relationships to ensure timely payments and repeat business.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to project teams; ensure quality and productivity.
