Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems in Melbourne, Florida seeks a Principal Project Manager (Level 3) to lead and oversee ongoing programs on site. You will coordinate PM activities, manage requirements, and communicate status with leaders and customers to ensure on-time delivery.

The role requires strong project management expertise, the ability to work with minimal supervision, and experience with DoD-related programs. A clear pathway to growth and a robust benefits package is provided.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of project management experience OR Master’s degree with 3+ years of project management experience.
• Knowledge of project management principles and practices.
• Experience preparing and presenting presentations.
• Microsoft Office skills (PowerPoint, Word, Excel).
• Must have the ability to obtain and maintain DoD Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the operational aspects of ongoing projects and liaison between PM, planning, project team, and line management.
• Review project status, budgets, and schedules; prepare status reports.
• Develop and maintain Program Definition Documents (PDDs) and PMPs; manage requirements.
• Coordinate with internal/external customers, IPTs, and suppliers; track progress and issues.
• Identify cost/schedule savings opportunities and drive value for the customer.
• Support leadership to ensure program success and timely deliverables.
• Handle non-technical requirements management and program resource management.
