Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Sr. Principal Project Manager for its Aeronautics Systems sector in Melbourne, Florida. The role is onsite with a 9/80 schedule, supporting DevOps cost/schedule performance, and coordinating across multiple units in a high-tempo environment.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree with 8 years (or a Master’s with 6 years) in project management, strong data handling skills, and an active Secret clearance. Travel up to 10% may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 8 years of project management experience or Master’s degree with 6 years of project management experience.
• Experience with Microsoft Office products (PowerPoint, Word, Excel).
• Experience leading a project and/or driving performance against schedule.
• Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Experience working with and manipulating large amounts of data.
• Active US Government Secret security clearance or higher, with ability to obtain SAP/PAR clearance.

Responsibilities

• Support the DevOps Operating Unit to accomplish monthly deliverables, metrics, and presentations.
• Collaborate across Business Areas, Operating Units, and functions to meet OU objectives.
• Monitor cost and schedule performance; support meetings and reporting to program leadership.
• Facilitate Risk, Issue and Opportunity management.
• Establish and maintain the strategic rhythm.
• Coordinate the efforts of sub-OU teams.
• Earned value management of labor and material control accounts as required.
• Report earned value status to Program Managers and OU Management.
• Thrive in a fast-paced environment with diverse assignments and cross-level collaboration.
