Job summary

Tempus AI seeks a Senior Project Manager to join the Diagnostics Operations team, driving cross‑functional initiatives and improving how work is executed across clinical operations, data, and reporting.

You will own operating system knowledge for diagnostics, lead process improvements, and deliver dashboards and leadership reports, partnering with BI, SFDC, Product, and Ops to scale the business.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Healthcare Administration, Business, or related analytical field.
• 2-4 years of relevant experience in operations, project management, healthcare/diagnostics, or data and analytics.
• Must be a self-starter who can work independently with minimal supervision.
• Persistent and resilient in a fast-paced, iterative environment.
• Highly organized with superb attention to detail and the ability to prioritize and complete tasks with accuracy.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to translate operational detail into a clear story for leadership.
• Comfort working with data: familiarity with SQL and data visualization tools (Looker preferred; Tableau acceptable).
• Proficiency with CRM and operating systems (Salesforce/SFDC) and general database management; proficiency with MS Office and Google Suite.

Responsibilities

• Partner with cross-functional teams across the diagnostics business unit to execute operational initiatives and workflow improvements.
• Serve as a subject matter expert for operating systems and tools that support diagnostics operations, ensuring data integrity, security, and efficiency.
• Autonomously own ad hoc process improvements and new initiatives to maintain operational excellence as the business scales.
• Implement and maintain tracking systems for operational initiatives and project status.
• Build and maintain reports and dashboards that give leadership a clear, accurate view of workflow performance and KPIs; partner with BI to validate data accuracy and adapt to evolving needs.
• Perform hands-on data work, including pulling and combining operational data across source systems to support reporting and decisions.
• Support operational communications across the diagnostics network and stakeholders.
• Partner with BI, SFDC, Product, and Internal Ops teams to identify gaps, align decisions, and keep initiatives moving.
